அத்துவித இலக்கணம் – Mystic union

சுடர்பொற் குன்றைத் தோளா முத்தை
வாளா தொழும்பு கந்து
கடைபட் டேனை ஆண்டு கொண்ட
கருணாலயனைக் கருமால் பிரமன்
தடைபட் டின்னுஞ் சார மாட்டாத்
தன்னைத் தந்த என்னா ரமுதைப்
புடைபட் டிருப்ப தென்றுகொல் லோஎன்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (1)

He is a glowing mount of gold! A faultless pearl! He is the seat of mercy who accepted my useless services with delight. Though the dark coloured Thirumal and Brahman could not approach Him, He, my nectar, gave Himself to me, who is a low life and redeemed me. When will I be able to reach Him and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

ஆற்ற கில்லேன் அடியேன் அரசே
அவனி தலத்தைம் புலனாய
சேற்றி லழுந்தாச் சிந்தை செய்து
சிவனெம் பெருமான் என்றேத்தி
ஊற்று மணல்போல் நெக்குநெக்
குள்ளே உருகி ஓலமிட்டுப்
போற்றி நிற்ப தென்றுகொல் லோஎன்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (2)

My King! Your devotee is unable to bear this life anymore! I must avoid falling in this quagmire of the sensual pleasures and praise You as the Supreme God and wail and melt inside and pour tears like a spring in sandy soil. When am I going to achieve all these and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

நீண்டமாலும் அயனும் வெருவ
நீண்ட நெருப்பை விருப்பிலேனை
ஆண்டுகொண்ட என் ஆரமுதே
அள்ளூ றுள்ளத்து அடியார்முன்
வேண்டுந் தனையும் வாய்விட் டலறி
விரையார் மலர் தூவிப்
பூண்டு கிடப்ப தென்று கொல்லோ என்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (3)

He is the tall Fire that scared Thirumal and Brahman. But He is my nectar who enslaved me though I was loveless. I need to wail as much as I desire in the presence of devotees whose hearts melt for Him. I want to sprinkle fragrant flowers at His feet. When will I achieve all these and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

அல்லிக் கமலத் தயனும் மாலும்
அல்லா தவரும் அமரர் கோனுஞ்
சொல்லிப் பரவும் நாமத் தானைச்
சொல்லும் பொருளும் இறந்த சுடரை
நெல்லிக் கனியைத் தேனைப் பாலை
நிறைஇன் அமுதை அமுதின் சுவையைப்
புல்லிப் புணர்வ தென்றுகொல்லோ என்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (4)

Brahma seated on a lotus flower, Thirumal, Indra the King of the celestials and others chant and spread His name. He is the flame that is beyond words and their substance. He is like the sweet fruit of Nelli, Honey, Milk, plentiful nectar and its flavour. When am I going to embrace Him and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

திகழத் திகழும் அடியும் முடியுங்
காண்பான் கீழ்மேல் அயனும் மாலும்
அகழப் பறந்துங் காண மாட்டா
அம்மான் இம்மா நிலமுழுதும்
திகழப் பணிகொண் டென்னை ஆட்கொண்டு
ஆவா என்ற நீர்மை யெல்லாம்
புகழப் பெறுவ தென்று கொல்லோ என்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (5)

In order to see the radiant top and the feet of our Lord, Thirumal dug deep under the earth and Brahman flew high in the sky and still they failed to see them. But my Father enslaved me and called me and redeemed me which the whole world knows. When will I praise Him for these acts and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

பரிந்து வந்து பரமா னந்தம்
பண்டே அடியேற் கருள்செய்யப்
பிரிந்து போந்து பெருமா நிலத்தில்
அருமா லுற்றேன் என்றென்று
சொரிந்த கண்ணீர் சொரிய உள்நீர்
உரோமஞ் சிலிர்ப்ப உகந்த அன்பாய்ப்
புரிந்து நிற்ப தென்று கொல் லோஎன்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (6)

He, the greatest Joy came to me due to His mercy and blessed me. But I distanced myself from Him and went into this wide world and underwent pain. When will I pour tears from my eyes, melt inside, with goose bumps in the body, perform services to Him in love and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

நினையப் பிறருக் கரிய நெருப்பை
நீரைக் காலை நிலனை விசும்பைத்
தனையொப் பாரை இல்லாத தனியை
நோக்கித் தழைத்துத் தழுத்த கண்டம்
கனையக் கண்ணீர் அருவி பாயக்
கையுங் கூப்பிக் கடிமலரால்
புனையப் பெறுவ தென்று கொல்லோ என்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (7)

He is beyond the imagination of those for whom He is Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Space. He is incomparable and unique. When can I see Him with delight, praise Him with hoarse voice, while the tears pour, with hands brought together in worship and offer flowers to Him and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

நெக்கு நெக்குள் உருகி உருகி
நின்றும் இருந்தும் கிடந்தும் எழுந்தும்
நக்கும் அழுதுந் தொழுதும் வாழ்த்தி
நானா விதத்தாற் கூத்தும் நவிற்றிச்
செக்கர் போலும் திருமேனி
திகழ நோக்கிச் சிலிர்சி லிர்த்துப்
புக்கு நிற்ப தென்றுகொல்லோ என்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (8)

My heart should soften and melt and worship and praise Him while standing, sitting, lying, rising, laughing, and crying. I must perform dance facing all directions and be excited looking at His reddish hued sacred radiant body. When can I do all these and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

தாதாய் மூவே ழுலகுக்குங்
தாயே நாயேன் தனையாண்ட
பேதாய் பிறவிப் பிணிக்கோர் மருந்தே
பெருந்தேன் பில்க எப்போதும்
மேதா மணியே என்றென் றேத்தி
இரவும் பகலும் எழிலார்பாதப்
போதாய்ந்து அணைவதென்று கொல்லோ என்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (9)

My Father! Mother to the twenty-one worlds! O the Supreme Lord who enslaved this dog like soul! You the Cure for the ailment of birth! The wise one who delivers graces that is sweet like honey. I like to praise You with the above words. I yearn to be attached to your beautiful feet day and night. When can I do all these and attain oneness with You, the faultless Gem!

காப்பாய் படைப்பாய் கரப்பாய் முழுதுங்
கண்ணார் விசும்பின் விண்ணோர்க் கெல்லாம்
முப்பாய மூவா முதலாய் நின்ற
முதல்வா முன்னே எனையாண்ட
பார்ப்பா னேஎம் பரமா என்று
பாடிப் பாடிப் பணிந்து பாதப்
பூப்போது அணைவது என்று கொல்லோ என்
பொல்லா மணியைப் புணர்ந்தே. (10)

You protect, create and destroy. You are older than all the celestials. You are the ageless beginner who initiated the beginning. O the wise one who enslaved me earlier! My Supreme Lord! Thus I want to sing and submit myself to Him. I want to embrace His flowery feet. When can I achieve all these and attain oneness with Him, the faultless Gem!

திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்
