All the holy ones hail Him as Great God, the Supreme Lord, He that is Nada and bears the name Nandi; You too shall make no distinction, But in prayer lift your hands to Him as Being Supreme; And the Primal One shall as such reveal Himself.
பெரிய தவத்தையுடையோர் யாவரும், `மகா தேவன்` என்பதைத் தன் பெயராக உடைய சிவனே முதல்வன் என ஒருபடித்தாகக் கூறுவர். அதனால், அவர் கூறிய வாறே அறியப்படுபவ னாகிய சிவனைச் சிறிதும் வேறுபடாத அக்கருத்துடன், `முதல்வனே` என்று அழைத்துக் கும்பிட்டால், அந்தச் சிவனும் நன்னெறியாய் நின்று நலம் தருவான்.
